We're dipping back into the AI trade with our first data center buy in weeks
CNBC Investing Club is adding GE Vernova after a five-week pause in data center-related buying, and says the stock is now more than $100, or about 12%, below where it stood on Aug. 24.
The Investing Club is buying 10 shares of GE Vernova at roughly $818, and Jim Cramer's Charitable Trust will own 100 shares of GEV after the trade.
The purchase lifts the portfolio weighting to about 2.15% from 1.9%.
This is the first data center-related stock purchase in five weeks since the last Micron buy; GE Vernova makes heavy-duty gas turbines that power data centers and other electrical equipment used inside them.
